TALES FROM THE BEACH
For the last 25 years, my family has vacationed at the same beach condo. We love it because it has a pool the size of a football field with waterfalls and hot tubs scattered throughout. It also has a couple waterslides, 2 swim up bars (my personal favorite), and a private beach. As you know, my Hubby couldn't go this year, so it was just me and our little one. It's truly become a family tradition.
This year, my parents invited my best friends, a lesbian couple we have known for about 7 years. They drove with us to the coast (I love road trips). For the ride, I downloaded Kathy Griffin's new comedy cd, For Your Consideration, from Itunes. We were in tears the entire time; a definite must have.
The first night, my sister made enchiladas and I mixed up a batch of my famous strawberry sangrias (they're lethal). My brother brought his new girlfriend, so during supper we shared embarrassing childhood stories. We ended the evening playing Rock Band and converting our condo to a dance club. We had a blast!!!
