MY BLOG IS MOVING!!!
When I first began my blog 2 months ago, I was on vacation and bored. I have been a loyal fan of bentblog.com and always thought it would be fun to post one of my own. So on May 28th, Yummy of the Day was born. I would of never imagined how much fun it would be to share my love of men, reality shows & bits of my life each day. What's been even more amazing is the positve response I have received from all of you. As my site has grown, I wish I would of shopped around before choosing myblogsite. So after much consideration, I have decided to move my blog to another site. Beginning August 1st, Yummy of the Day will be moving to a new home. I will e-mail my loyal YUMSTER CREW the new domain Thursday and then post it here on Friday. I hope you will follow me and continue on this YUMMY ride together...

BB 10 - THERE'S A NEW BE-YATCH IN TOWN
I just finished Sunday's installment of Big Brother and it rocked!!! Keesha, the current Head of Household did more than stir the pot, she put a friggin' jack hammer to it. Nominations were announced tonight and she went against the majority choice of putting up Dan, along with either Jerry or Renny. Instead, Keesha put up Angie and Jessie, yes I said JESSIE!!! I know I admitted I had a little crush on Jessie, but the more his personality comes out the uglier he gets. It would be perfection if he could just walk around shirtless and keep his cocky mouth shut. Keesha is the Queen Be-yatch right now and I'm lovin' it. Renny is her perfect sidekick; they're the modern day Laverne and Shirley. In the meantime I can't help but post another pic of Jessie (see how pretty it is when it can't speak).

REALITY CHECK - JESSICA QUITS!!!
After receiving the good news last week about her two Emmy nominations, Kathy Griffin is having to deal with the bad news this week. PerezHilton.com reported that her personal assistant, Jessica, has quit. She has been an integral part of "My Life on the D-list" since season 1. Perez reports that the departure was less than amicable and that Jessica was fed up with Kathy. Since being a fan of the show from the beginning, it's hard to believe that there could be any friction between the two. If the rumors are true, I wonder if Kathy will hire someone to join the remaining members of "Team Griffin", Tom & Tiffany? I think it's about time one of her gays joins the cast (HELLO, I'M AVAILABLE!!!)

BB 10 - GAY COWBOY EVICTED
When will the madness end!!! This is the second week in a row that a hottie has been evicted from the Big Brother house. First Brian and now Steven (pics below). The gay rodeo cowboy got the boot after a unanamous vote. I have to admit, he gave one of the wittiest farewell speeches in the history of the show. He tipped his hat to Kathy Griffin with his ending statement, "Suck it, bitches!" We're still left with some YUMMY eye candy, Jessie, Memphis, Dan & Ollie remain. Keesha, my second favorite female next to Renny, won the Head of Household competition. Let's hope she targets Libra or Michelle. Stay tuned...

THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND...
I just read the news that Estelle Getty passed away early this morning. According to reports, Estelle, who suffered from advanced dementia, died around 5:30 am this morning at her Hollywood Boulevard home. She was 84.
I'm sure this news saddens many of you as it does me. The Golden Girls has always been a widely popular show, but it in the gay community it had reached iconic status. I remember watching the show as a teenager every Saturday night. I attribute much of my sarcasism and bitchiness to my exposure to the girls over the years. As I write this, I have Lifetime playing in the background where the show had taken on new life. Thanks for the laughs, we'll miss you Estelle.

MOVIE DAY
This weekend, Hubby and I had Saturday off together. Since this rarely happens, we decided to take our Little One and my Mother-In-Law to lunch and a movie. Hubby's mother is in a wheelchair and has been a widow for years. We try to get her out and about as much as possible. We picked her up and went to our favorite mexican restaurant and did a little shopping. L.O. starts kindergarten this year (tear), so we did some back-to-school shopping. Kirklands was having an awesome sale; I got 3 adorable lamps for $40. We ended up seeing the PIXAR movie, WALL-E. It was pretty good, although it got into some pretty heavy subject matter for young kids to comprehend. I admit, I got a tad teary-eyed at the end. All in all, it was great to spend quality time with the family.

REALITY CHECK - DESIGN STAR PORN PAST
Scandal has broken out on another one of my reality shows (I know what your saying, "How many shows does he watch?" I told you I have a problem and I'm dealing with it). One of the contestants on HGTV's, Design Star, allegedly appeared in the 1996 gay bondage flick, Rope Rituals. Michael Verdugo made it to the final 4 until he was eliminated this week after losing the kitchen remodel competition. It gets juicier, Michael has been suspended from his job as a Hollywood patrol police officer until further investigation. Verdugo has been in law enforcement for 10 years and has been openly gay throughout his career (a gay cop, how YUMMY). Let's hope he doesn't lose his job over this, anyway who hasn't been videotaped having sex (ummm not me).

Did you watch Big Brother last night? Jessie won the Power of Veto by competing in a messy, messy competition and was able to take himself off the chopping block. In a surprise move, Jerry was persuaded to put Brian up for eviction along with loud mouth Renny. I know Renny is annoying, but the gay in me loves her. She's like a combination of Bette Midler & Kathy Griffin, with a little Shirley MacLaine thrown in.
Okay, I have to admit that my first crush of the season is on Jessie. I'm usually not attracted to bodybuilders, but I think his babyface is so adorable. I swore I had seen him before, so after searching the web I found some shots of him. What do you think?

YUMMY COMMERCIAL BREAK
As you know, I am an admitted reality show junkie. One of my guilty pleasures, Big Brother, began it's 10th season this Sunday. It looks like this is going to be one of it's YUMMIEST seasons ever. There's a total of 6 cuties inhabiting the house this year: Steven (gay rodeo cowboy), Dan (catholic school teacher), Brian (air force), Memphis (bartender), Jessie (bodybuilder) & Ollie (preacher's son). Oh yeah, there's also some women running around too.
FYI - I applied for Big Brother 5 and made it all the way to the semi-finals. It was such a surreal experience. Unfortunately I didn't make the final cast. Now that my little one's older, I've been getting the itch to try out again.
So be sure to check out the show. It's quite a commitment, being that it's on 3 nights a week: Tuesdays 9pm et/pt, Wednesdays 8pm et/pt & Sundays 8pm et/pt. I'll be posting updates and would love to read your comments on the show. ... (more)

TALES FROM THE BEACH 2
After our first night at the condo, we spent the majority of the weekend poolside. We didn't swim much at the beach because it was covered with seaweed, although we did manage to build a sandcastle. 4th of July evening was game night and we started out with a rock, paper, scissors tournament. My brother was the victor and he received a "Rock, Paper, Scissors Champion 2008" t-shirt. We ended with a heated Taboo playoff; we're all viciously competitive. My nephew and I ended up the winners.
Saturday was Karaoke night (my favorite). We're all a bunch of hams and by the end of the night we had sung over 40 songs. The highlights of the evening was my sister's comedic rendition of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and the group tribute to Grease. Of course I sang the sh*t out of "I Will Survive".
Needless to say, a good time was had by all.

TALES FROM THE BEACH
For the last 25 years, my family has vacationed at the same beach condo. We love it because it has a pool the size of a football field with waterfalls and hot tubs scattered throughout. It also has a couple waterslides, 2 swim up bars (my personal favorite), and a private beach. As you know, my Hubby couldn't go this year, so it was just me and our little one. It's truly become a family tradition.
This year, my parents invited my best friends, a lesbian couple we have known for about 7 years. They drove with us to the coast (I love road trips). For the ride, I downloaded Kathy Griffin's new comedy cd, For Your Consideration, from Itunes. We were in tears the entire time; a definite must have.
The first night, my sister made enchiladas and I mixed up a batch of my famous strawberry sangrias (they're lethal). My brother brought his new girlfriend, so during supper we shared embarrassing childhood stories. ... (more)

I'M BACK!!!
I just got back from the beach about an hour ago. We had such a fabulous time, but I have to admit I'm glad to be back. I'm franticly trying to get everything unpacked before my Hubby gets home from work, so that we can have some "quality" time together (it wasn't the same without him there). There were tons of YUMMIES at the pool and I managed to snap a few shots. Depending on how they turned out, I'll try to post some this week (in the meantime, I posted a wet YUMMY below). Well, I still have a lot to unload, so I'll share stories of my trip throughout the week.

BEACH TRIP
Well, I'm off to the beach!!! Each year we head to the coast for a fun-filled family reunion. We've been doing this forever and it's always the highlight of our summer. We basically eat, drink, and swim all weekend. My favorite event is Karaoke night; we each have our signature song (mine is "I Will Survive", surprise, surprise). Unfortunately, my Hubby has to work and won't be able to go (tear). As you know he's my photographer, so hopefully I will be able to get some shots of the beach YUMMIES.
I'm so frustrated!!! My laptop is down, so I tried to time the postings for the next few days and I couldn't get it to work. I won't have access to a computer on my trip, so I had no choice but to post all the days at once. Sorry, but I'll be back "live" on Monday.

DATE NIGHT
Hubby and I celebrated Father's Day with a Date Night Saturday. While the little one was at Grandma's house, we went out for a nice dinner and we finally saw Sex and the City. I've been a fan of the show since day one and I own every season on DVD. I really wanted to see it when it first came out, but it just didn't happen with both of us so busy with work. It was definitely worth the wait!!! All I can say it was perfection; it had fashion, laughs, drama, and sexy men (Gilles Marini as Samantha's naked neighbor, YUMMY!!!)
On the drive home, I guess with the movie and the couple martinis at dinner, I was inspired to channel my inner Samantha. Let's just say I was working the stick shift and I wasn't driving. Gotta keep the flame burning. Well, needless to say it was a memorabe Daddy's Day.

Boy, this is becoming the Jim and Evan Blog. You can really see what appeals to each person by the pics that they send in. It's obvious, I'm into the clean cut, pretty, model types. From the shots that I've received from Jim, Ive concluded he's attracted to the rugged, bad boys. And last but not least, Evan. When I first received the pic from Evan, YUMMY didn't pop into my head. Then I showed it to my partner and his response was, "Are you crazy, he's HOT!!!" Of course he liked it, Evan and my Hubby are into the young cuteys.
